Cheltenham 2020: Winning Horses in Different Categories

The Cheltenham Festival 2020 edition was taking place from 10th March to 13th March in Cheltenham, United Kingdom. The ancient horse race event has several categories of races taking place over the four-day period. Several horses graced the event with a few managing to take home the top prices. Winners of the 2020 edition include:


Epatante, a horse foaled on 27th February 2014 was one of the participating horses at the Cheltenham Festival emerging as the winner in The Champion Hurdle Race. The horse is owned by Anne Doulce Lefeuvre and trained by Nicky Henderson. During this year’s event, Barry Geraghty was the jockey for this France-based horse.

Al Boum

Al Boum is a racehorse bred in France and later trained in Ireland. The racehorse has produced outstanding performances in the past two festivals of 2019 and 2020 emerging as the winner. The bay in colour gelding was foaled on 21st May 2012 and is owned jointly by Emmanuel Clayeux and Mrs J Donnelly. The current trainer who helped win the 2020 race is Willie Mullins. Paul Townsend was the man riding the winning horse this year.

The Conditional

This Cheltenham Festival race sponsored by Ultima Business Solutions took place in 2020 and a horse referred to as The Conditional carried the day. It is aged eight and is trained by David Bridgwater and the jockey in charge is Brendan Powell.

Dame De Compagnie

With the help of jockey Barry Geraghty and training from Nicky Henderson, Dame managed to win The Coral Cup in 2020. The horse was foaled on 13th April 2013 and by the time the mare won the 2020 edition of The Coral Cup, she was aged seven years. The winning horse is owned by John P McManus.

Several other horses took the first position in other races, but the above were the most brilliant in their winning style.
